Centering around an international group of drug smugglers and illegal tradesmen simply known as ‘The Ring’ and the attempts of Interpol to stop them.
The Ring’s empire spans the globe with trade routes that lie in the wake of the Cold War. Loosely based on alliances and hidden passages throughout almost every continent. While successful and catching the eye of many smaller Governmental agencies in an attempt to continue the War on Drugs, it wasn’t until 2011 when a young businessman by the name of Yusuf Sadik stepped up to the throne, restructuring and bringing what could now officially be called The Ring of a Modern Age. At the same time, Yusuf would marry then twenty-five-year-old Franceska ‘Frankie’ Sadik née Dubois. Still in the glow of a new marriage, Yusuf threw a huge celebration party, inviting a young man who had impressed him a few years prior. Initially portrayed as a self-serving opportunist in Cecilio “Lio” Vega and put him in charge of directly handling negotiations and transportation of his illegitimate cargo.
Everyone was riding on a high.

General timeline up until now (2018):
-2011
Yusuf takes over and makes big changes to the Ring’s internal structure
Yusuf marries Frankie.
Cecilio get’s hand-picked by Yusuf. Given Columbia job by Felix Yusupov.
Columbia was botched. but Cecillio’s quick thinking keeps important Ring players from getting caught.
Ring activity quiets down for a year, while still maintaining an increase in business just with less risky plans.
-2015
Cecilio takes another risk after healing old wounds from the Columbia job and tries to reconnect with some contacts in Turkey. Is immediately detained by Interpol agents tipped off by someone inside The Ring.
Feeling defeated and as if he was fighting a ghost, Cecilio goes underground and disappears.
-2016
Frankie gives birth to Yusuf's daughter, Aysel Sadik.
-2017
On August 27th, 2017, Yusuf was killed at the age of 42 along with his business partner, Felix Yusupov, and his pilot, when the private plane attempted to make an emergency landing in an airfield outside Bangkok. Investigations by local authorities concluded that engine failure was the cause of the crash.
Power vacuum leads to lower level bosses to take advantage; starting to deal in other illegal trade outside of just drugs, causes INTERPOL to double down efforts of outside pressure while pressure continues to mount within the RING
-2018
A Widowed Frankie finds Cecilio hiding out in Thailand, convinces him to come back and help her take over for Yusuf.
